How Shreveport Green uses text messages in Clean Caddo, what you agreed to, and how to stop.
What this program is
Clean Caddo is a litter reporting and volunteer cleanup program run by Shreveport Green in Caddo Parish, Louisiana, on a platform operated by Parity Platforms. Text messages go only to approved volunteers and Shreveport Green staff who chose to receive them. Residents who report litter are never texted.
What we send
- Volunteers: cleanup job offers, reminders about jobs you accepted, deadline notices, and notices about your volunteer account.
- Staff: alerts about new litter reports and operational notices while you are on shift.
We do not send marketing or promotional texts. Every message identifies Shreveport Green. Responding to a job is done through the link in the message, not by replying.
How you opted in
After Shreveport Green approved you as a volunteer or added you as staff, you entered your mobile number in your account and checked a box agreeing to receive these messages. Texting is optional. You can volunteer without it, and you can turn it off at any time.
How often
Message frequency varies with cleanup activity. Volunteers receive usually fewer than 10 messages per month. Staff receive usually fewer than 30 messages per month.

How to stop
Reply STOP to any message to cancel. You will get one confirmation text and nothing more. You can also turn texts off in your account or ask Shreveport Green staff. If you stop texts, you will not receive cleanup job offers by text until you opt in again.

Carriers
Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
How your number and consent records are handled is in the text message privacy notice. We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that affects what you agreed to, we will tell you before the change takes effect and record which version you consented to.
